Portland, Oregon multi-instrumentalist Graham Jonson creates vibrant, unpredictablepsych-pop under the name quickly, quickly. Pitchfork spotlighted him with a Risingfeature for his “strikingly original” 2021 debut The Long and Short of It, noting the“technicolor world” of his basement studio, Kenton Sound. His forthcoming full-length, I Heard That Noise, channels the intimacy of folksongwriting through adventurous sound design: lush guitars and piano, suddenchord turns, and bursts of distortion that nod to influences like Phil Elverum, Dijon,and Nick Drake.
